A patient of both skilled and private duty services, Muriel R. called about nurse Trella Dunham LPN. Trella was seeing Muriel when her microwave quit working. "My microwave is my only means of preparing meals much of the time as I have very poor vision and can't use the stove safely.” Trella offered to look for a new microwave on her own time so that Muriel would not be without. Trella purchased the chosen microwave, brought it to Muriels house, carried it in, hooked it up, made sure it worked properly, gave her the paperwork, and even took the old one with her to dispose of it so it wasn't sitting around Muriel's house. Additionally, “Trella was very quick to give some helpful suggestions that made the testing [I was having done] less irritating." "Often times people will call to complain, it occurred to me that not as often do people call to compliment. I am very pleased with Home Bound Healthcare's services and Trella is an asset to your team".

I was pleased to be a part of Home Bound Healthcare. The physical therapist has helped me a great deal. They showed me how to stack my bed pillows to be more comfortable. They showed me how to get things out of the refrigerator while using my walker, how to go up and down stairs with my walker, how to get the walker in and out of the car. The nurse is very thorough with her check up and gives me good advice on questions I have.

I talked with my Mom last night and though she was crying when I called, she did perk up and seemed alright by the end of our visit. My brother and sister also called last evening. I appreciate Peggy’s visit and she gave Mom a lot of good information about caring for herself and stayed with her until she drank some "Ensure" and ate some crackers. Thanks for all your agency does for my mom – you truly are a God send. Mom loves you all and I know she feels better knowing she will be seeing several of you during the week. Knowing that you are coming makes her get moving in the morning to get dressed, etc.
